At GE Aviation, I worked on the mechanical engineering team where I completed thermal analyses, structural component analyses, 3D CAD modeling, weight analyses, and drawings for sourcing for a project going into its second preliminary design review phase. Through my thermal analysis project, I was able to help the team move forward by identifying the worst-case temperature for the high-power electronic components mounted to heat exchanging component in the design. I used my structural analysis to provide recommendations on different reinforcement strategies for the chassis assembly. In this role, I gained further experience with high power electronics, Solid Edge, ANSYS, drawing and GD&T, and more.
